Hey Phoenix Rising,
As Many of you already know i've just come back from being gone for 4 months.
Within that time i missed the end of age 4 and the start of age 5, I had high ambitions for age 5 but now i feel as if my Whole koc life is going down the drain.
I Feel Dissapointed in my self for not doing better at koc because i was saying to all my friends "As soon as KoC starts I'm gonna create my account and i'm gonna have a top 900 account" But looks like I'll Never get that :(.

One of the reasons that i won't get my dream rank is because i cannot click.
When i open up Clickwhore i get this error message:

I tried to fix the problem by doing the folowing:

Uninstalling and Re-Installing.
Closing all active programs and starting CW & IRIS up.
Downloading Ad-muncher.
Rebooting my PC.
Going to microsoft.com


I was determind to know what it ment so i was asking around on IRC intill someone told me, i heard alot of bull and some good answers but when i asked Lor20_RJ he told me it was a Windows error and that PR Couldnt fix the problem.

I googled The Error Code "(0xc0000022)". And i was supprised there was a page for it on the microsoft website.

It Said "blah blah.... Download Windows XP Service pack 2 to fix the problem"
So i was all excited like yippie i'm gonna be able to click and get a good rank...ect

But, When i went on the microsoft website it said that my system had to go through a valadation of some sort. I allowed it to go through the Valadation and it said. "Valadation Failed: You are running on a illegal copy of windows on yous System."
So now i can't install Service Pack 2 becase i got a illegal copy of windows.

So by what i see i can't click so i was wondering if a few PR members could spare some clicks to help me out bit.

Got a few options.

1. You have a legal copy of Windows, there is a process you can follow to get them to understand you have a legal copy, (I think I remember who told me how will ask ;))

2. You don't have a legal copy, go back to whoever got you windows and no doubt they can get you he service pack as well ;)

3. Get your hands on a corporate edition install, and reinstall it won't check for validation as it's normal for one CD to be used to install everyone ;)

My Friend Installed Windows XP on my PC ... but he moved to newcastle >.<
darn it.

is there no other way i can get it to work ?

Well are you using the latest version of CW? (CW2p2) (Stupid question)
I'm using WinXP (my free 'ripped' version, no way giving Billy my money, hehehe) without ServicePack 2, so i guess there's no chance your WinXp could be the problem. Maybe your firewall is blocking you? Are you missing some components like Dll's or OCXs, this could be IMO?

BTW, service pack 2is freely distributed from MS site, no need to visit your retailer.

buy windows for your comp and install it you might be able to get windows from the mircosoft website, but the best route might be to get it from your local computer store, buying it will be worth the cost because it fixs alot of other stuff
Edit; i still say get XP legally and download SP2 for it

Have you tried finding sp2 on limewire, dc++ or torrents?

Just download (http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/download.php) a bittorrent client, then search for "sp2" on sites likes bitenova (http://www.bitenova.org), torrentspy (http://www.torrentspy.com/), torrentreactor (http://www.torrentreactor.net/) and voila :)
(The last 3 linked sites may contain offense ads!!!!!)

Well, I have windows xp pro, no service pack 2, and my clickwhore runs fine, or ran fine... haven't used it in a while. I remember getting an error like that before, but can't remember how i got rid of it. Not sure if i had it before i recently reformatted or not.

clearly his problem is best resolved by upgrading to SP2, whether or not others have experienced the same problem.

the key will be finding a windows install that he can use. either by purchasing one (sometimes it's cheaper if you can buy one through an academic institution, like a university), or by finding a corporate license that doesn't require validation.

The Reason i need Winxp SP2 is because a file or something is corupt and needs to be updated.

Why don't you try out another clicker ?
There is plenty of clickers to select, but Doomsday Device seems to be fast, but you will need the ".NET Framweork" to run it.

Sorry mate, but if you don't want to pay for it, don't use it, period.

From a tech POV, it sounds like you have a corrupt Windows system file or similar and installing SP2 would be a good way to fix that.

However MS have done a very good job in preventing SP2 from installing onto illegal copies of Windows so for you that may not be an option.

you could look on how to renew your regisistration code, i know ppl who's running a illegal windows xp with sp2

sorry, i'm not gonna tell you how to do it, use google and look it up, there are whole pages on this, I just only needed 1 minute to find it. Last tip I'm gonna give you, look for 'change windows serial'

I would prefer doing a system restore to a point where it still worked. Another thing that can help is completely uninstall IE(all directories and registry keys) and install IE again

Hey, I Just downloaded a ting called Microsoft Update it's simmalar to WINDOWS update but it's better it let me download winxp sp2.
