Hey guys,

I'm living in univeristy halls and the connectivity is limited to browsing and also IM, even that Windows Live Messenger seems to be blocked.

Was wondering whether anyone on here could help me bypass the uni's firewall cause I really really wanna play online games and it sucks not being able to.

Aren't proxies like this for serving the net. Just wondering how to play games, say COD4 online and stuff

Im not an expert,but i believe games use certain ports that are blocked by uni's et al.......so yr chances are pretty slim.I suggest you poke the Venge-meister and ask his advice :)

games forget it, other stuff you can get past some restrictions, do you have to login to a proxy with your uni id to browse the net, or do you just connect to lan, but everything is restricted?
