Most of the settings in the BIOS on my computer are grayed out and I can't change them. There is no password set, the are just not clickable. The computer was like this when i bought it. Does anyone know how i can "unlock" the BIOS so i can change my settings (cpu, ram, etc..)
Yes, i did google this first, and couldn't find anything.

When you buy a computer with a pre-installed motherboard generally the bios settings are very limited. The manufacturers, I guess, want to make it idiot proof =P. You can install another bios, however there can be so many possible problems in that process that lead to many nights of kill me now moments. =P. Basically I don't recommend it, but it can be done.

BA, what motherboard do you have and what's the BIOS version.
Some mobo manufacturers use generic versions of BIOSes that may include references to functions or components that your system doesn't have, thus the limited settings.

My motherboard is: Asus M2N68-LA
My BIOS are:
Phoenix
BIOS revision: 5.13 (10/29/07)
Core version: 6.0
EDIT:
After doing a lot of searching on my motherboard I found instructions on how to "Clear the BIOS settings" and "Clear the CMOS." Not sure if that helps any.

Clearing the CMOS will only reset the bios settings to the factory default.

To actually install a new bios you have to flash the bios, which can be quite painful or quite easy.

Wait, what's wrong with that statement? "Flashing" is the term for installing a new bios, though an older term. And usually it is quite easy, though at the same time can be quite painful =P.
