So, right now my computer specs are:
Windows XP
Intel Core 2Duo CPU - 2.66ghz
1.99 RAM
Vid card - Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family (PCI bus)

I was wondering if I would be able to install a graphics card that uses a PCI-e, such as this:

Or would I need to reinstall a whole new mobo or something?

Hey ZC

It does depend solely on the motherboard.

What model/manufacturer do you have?

ASUSTek - model # P5GC-MX

I'm really looking for anything that has 256MB, but I've been recommended 512 for some of the games for today. So I guess 512 would be best unless I have to replace the whole mobo

Looking at your motherboard it would depend on two things

One: How big your case is
Two: What wattage your PSU is

Looking at the one you have selected I would go with either a 450-550 depending on what your current PSU is and whether is has 6-pin PCI Express power connectors or not

uh, my PSU is i think 400 watts
and my case is roughly about 15x15x7.5 in.

and i have no idea how to check if its a six pin or not

Your onboard Intel can surely handle Civilization 1, that's all you need, maybe tetris too.

I would go with getting a more powerful PSU if you want that type of gfx card then at least a 450w or above and make sure you ask for or look for "2 x PCI-E (1 6-pin & 1 8-pin) or "2 x PCI-E (2 6-pin )" :)
